    How do I find my TCP IP settings?

    Click “Start” on the target bar, type cmd in the search box, and then press “Enter” to open a command prompt window. In the command prompt window, type ipconfig /all and press Enter. It displays the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, etc.

    The DHCP client is configured by default in Windows 7. However, if Windows Top 7 was configured with a static (manually configured) IP address, and the computer should automatically obtain an IP address, Windows 7 actually needs to be reconfigured as a DHCP client.

    1. Click the appropriate button (Windows logo Start) in the lower left corner of any screen.
    2. Click Control Panel.

    3. Press Network then Internet.

    4. click Network and Sharing Center.

    5. In the View Active Networks category, find the network that contains the LAN connection (as shown below).

    6. Press Local Area Connection.

    10. Select Obtain an IP address automatically.

    12. Click the OK button. This brings us back to accessing the Properties panel of the Local Connection panel.

    13. Click the Close button at the bottom of the Local Area Connection Properties pane.

    Static IP Configuration

    The instructions in this article show how to manually configure the following settings:

  • Preferred DNS Address/Server

    1. Press the Start switch (Windows logo) in the lower left corner of the screen.
    2. Click Control Panel.

    3. Press Network and Internet.

    5. In the “View Work Networks” section, you will see that the TV supports a LAN connection (as shown below).

    6. Press Local Area Connection.
    7. Click the Properties button.

    8. Click Internet over Protocol Version 7 (TCP/IPv4). ConvinceNote that the checkbox on the left is checked.

    10. Select By IP Address.Use IP
    11. In the Address field, enter the IP address of your choice.
    12. For the subnet mask, start with the subnet mask of your choice.
    13. Enter for the default gateway, the default gateway to select.

      NOTE. If that device almost certainly doesn’t have the correct default gateway set, your computer won’t be able to access the internet. Also, this Internet is not available remotely if remote access to a private computer is required.

    14. Select the address Obtain a DNS server automatically.
    15. In the Preferred DNS Server field, enter the address, including the primary DNS server. If there is only one DNS address for the remote computer, enter it here.
    16. For the alternate DNS server, enter the address from all alternate DNS servers. If there is no secondary DNS server at all, leave this parameter blank.
    17. Now click the OK button. You will return to the properties panel of the local connection panel.

    By default, Windows 1 is configured as a DHCP client. Let’s assume Windows 7 has tones and an IP address configured (manually configured), but if the computer should automatically obtain any IP address, Windows Top needs to be reconfigured as a DHCP client.

    1. Click the Start button (Windows logo) in the lower left corner of the screen.
    2. Click Control Panel.

    3. Press Network and Internet.

    4. click Network and Sharing Center.

    5. Under View Active Network Systems, find your local network (as shown below).

    6. Press Local Area Connection.

    13. Click the Close button at the bottom of the Local Area Connection Properties pane.

    6. Press Local Area Connection.

    8. Click Internet over protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4). Make sure the checkbox on the left is checked.
    9. Press Properties.

    10. Select By IP Address.Use IP
    11. In the Address field, enter the IP address of your choice.
    12. For the subnet mask on the subnet, enter the mask of your choice.
    13. In the Default Gateway field, enter the default gateway to select.

      NOTE. If the correct default verification is not entered in this setting, the computer will not be able to access the Internet. In addition, some computers with remote access are not available in the market if remote access to the computer is required frequently.

    14. Select Obtain a DNS web address automatically.
    15. The preferred DNS server is usually the address of the primary DNS system. If there is only one DNS server address, enter it in this connection.
    16. In the Alternate Server field, enter dns to focus on the alternate DNS server. If there is no additional DNS forum, leave this parameter blank.
    17. Click the OK button. This will return everyone to the properties panel of the local login arena.
