Show hidden Windows files on 8 plus 10
This option is readily available in File Explorer in Windows 8 and 10.

Show hidden files on the 7th

Windows are two different types due to hidden files: regular hidden items and also protected system files. In fact, if your company shows hidden files and folders, Windows will always hide protected system files. These are information files hidden with the System attribute.

How do I remove hidden files in Windows 7?
