    Presentation

This post is a summary of the effort to register my Postgresql installation as Homebrew on macOS Mojave. The reason for the error was usually an upcoming upgrade that caused an upgrade from Postgres 12 to Postgres 13. This resulted in a connection error that prevents me from getting into my postgres storage system either on port 5432 or via direct response access via psql. .

In the end, I gotI had to uninstall and reinstall part of the complete Homebrew.setup installation, which also required reinstalling Ruby and Jekyll, as well as imagemagick, ffmpeg, inkscape, and other applications running under brew.

Port 5432 Is Definitely Not Responding

    System Checks

A postgres command that indicates if the instance is running from the postgres point of view:

    Restart Postgres

Postgres patch build stops and starts, only communication on port 5432 keeps hanging.

  • In my production Postgres, the list of logs is located at:

So the next step in a simple attempt to save the Postgres website was to reinstall an older, more mature version of Postgre.

    Setting The Old Pstgres Type

So far so good, although you need to remove the default version first.

    Remove Paid Version

Run Each Postgress Option (deprecated Version) To See If It Works

And later, start the Postgres server, as this service was running by default:

With the sequences above, I think I’ll get it Killed Postgres, but it works again, losing all content.

    Psql Not Working

But I can’t invoke Postgres with psql to set up default and driver passwords.

Several big questions come up, including postgresql for 13.1, but can’t say anything about that at the moment.

    Psql Is Seriously Down And

Like psql, no tableplus can access postgres and report errors using openssl/libssl.

Lots of information about. I just jumped through it all.

After looking a little more, I found another alternative to building openssl1.0, and this time at least the installation went through openssl1:

Add.0 To Help You With PATH

error /usr/local/opt/pkg-config not present or broken

First terminal restart, then machine doesn’t change anything (psql error still looking for openssl1.0)

    Repeat From The Beginning

At this point, I restarted the entire installation, but this time I inserted opnessl1.0 in front of Postgre. Hence this sequence of skill commands:

error /usr/local/opt/pkg-config not present or broken

This time, the result seems more promising. But the posgresql version is not attached (becauseI removed the above IT). I’ll just ignore it and continue by removing openssl:

    Reinstall Openssl1.0

Now I’m going crazy if this particular Postgres wants libssl.1.1. So I ran the following sequence of commands:

    Reinstall Homebrew

The whole exercise described above ended in a total failure, orchestrated by Homebrew. I was unable to make or prepare an update. So I uninstalled our full homebrew install as described on page 18 of this view.

I removed all important directories from the list. Then I installed Homebrew from scratch.

    Install Postgres Browsers

    Restart Postgres

Start A New Machine And Restart Postgres For This Page.
